How do I enable encryption on my wireless router?

I have a D-Link DL-524 wireless router. I know the answer should be obvious but I can not figure it out. I installed the router and have no problems with the connection of either Ethernet or WiFi to any of my computers or my PDA. It is currently radio and unsecured. I can not figure out how to encrypt it, or in other words get the router to use WEP or WPA encryption. I have no idea how to activate encryption, and I can not find some help online. I installed it with the supplied disk, and I changed the SSID from default. I can not figure out how to enable encryption! It would also be great to turn off the radio and TV if possible. I'm not an idiot, and I understand how encryption works and how to connect to an encrypted or unbroadcasted / hidden network, I just can not figure out how to configure my router. I am using Windows XP on two computers and Windows Vista on another. If only a computer can handle it, I want to manage it with my laptop with vista.

Hello, First and foremost, be sure that ur router is unsecured and factory defult setting if not reset your router. 1.Open Mozilla or IE, 2 Enter "192.168.2.1 (ur router should be Power ON) 3 you will connect to your router 4. and log (the defult password is empty. so do not type anything. If not, reset your router, because sometimes a person log in to your router and change the password. Just kidding you. ) 5. Find the word "security" and you can type the password. Do not forget to copy ur password on paper somewhere, just in case. 6. and log out or for advanced cases, 7 change your log in password
